Identification
Males can reach up to 5.1 cm in length, female are a bit smaller. Global coloration beige becoming more ochre to orange-brown on back with large green blotches on back, flanks and limbs.

Range and habitat
The species is found in North-west Africa, from Central Morocco south to northern Western Sahara. The species might also occur in Algeria. It lives in intermittent rivers and marshes in dry tropical or subtropical shrublands, rocky areas and deserts.

CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species is still locally numerous but is becoming threatened by habitat loss. Some populations have been almost wiped out.
