Identification
The species can reach a wingspan of 13 cm. Forewings have elongated tips, hindwings have wavy edges and long curved tail. Coloration is rich beige brown to yellow-brown with broad darker band near edges and mottling.

Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs in Peninsular Malaysia and Sumatra. The species is found from India and Hainan to Sumatra and Borneo. Lives in forests and forest edges, apparently often close to watercourses.

Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed. It seems that this species is globally uncommon and could become threatened by habitat loss easily.
