Notes : No subspecies known.

Identification
Adults can reach a maximum length of 12 cm. Most of the body is dull pink. All fins are translucent pinkish-yellow except from pelvic and anal fins which are dark. White band behind eyes, extending on first third of upper back.

Range and habitat
This species occurs in a small part of Western Pacific Ocean, from Papua New Guinea to Solomon Islands. Lives in lagoons and outer reef slopes, at depths down to 12 meters.

Status : This species is very poorly known and has a small range. It’s globally uncommon but not currently facing any threats.
