Identification
Body length of 66 cm, tail length of 75 cm, weight of 14 kg. Males are much larger than females. Bare face is black. Limbs are dark, rest of fur is olive-green to olive-brown. Bright yellow-orange breast and belly. Clear tail.

Range and habitat
The species is found in Central Africa and is apparently endemic to DR Congo where it occurs south of the Congo river. Mostly found in rainforests and swamp forests, up to 500 m.

IUCN RED LIST : ENDANGERED
CITES : Appendix II
Status : This species has a relatively small range and is at risk from habitat loss. Heavily hunted and considered as a pest in some areas.
