Identification
Fairly big sea-snail, reaching a length of 18 cm. Shell is elongated and fusiform. Shell displays a white coloration with bright orange to red blotches. Shell aperture is elongate and narrow.

Range and habitat
Indo-Pacific region, from Red Sea to East Africa, eastwards to Hawaii, north to Southern Japan and south to Australia. Lives in intertidal and sublittoral zones, down to a depth of 80 m.

Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed but so far, it’s considered common in many parts of its huge range.
