Identification
Adults can grow to 7 cm in length, maybe even longer, with wings folded. Very long and powerful hindlegs. Wings nearly twice as long as abdomen when folded. Coloration brown with fine vermiculations, dark spot on sides of head.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South East Asia, from India to south China, south to Malaysia, Indonesia and other nearby islands. Lives in bushy areas in forests and woodlands.

Status : The species hasn’t been listed by IUCN but according to field experts, it could be locally threatened by ongoing habitat loss within its range.
