Identification
Body length between 2 and 2.7 cm. Black body with green band on snout. Forelimbs bright green. Bright green spots on flanks, sometimes reaching the entire back. Hindlimbs are yellow with dark stripes. Horseshoe mark below mouth.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to east-central Madagascar, from Niagarakely to Ranomafana. Lives in tropical and subtropical, montane and lowland moist forests, up to 1050 m.

IUCN RED LIST : VULNERABLE
CITES : Appendix II
Status : This species has a highly fragmented range. It is still declining because of over collection for animal trade and deforestation.
