Identification
Body length is 12 cm for females and around 6 cm for males. Fairly large frog with conspicuous clear yellow to white line on upper lips. Coloration variable, from brownish to green with irregular mottling on back.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to Taiwan. It is found in hill streams and creeks with lots of rocks and vegetation, mostly below 2000 meters.

Status : The species seems to be numerous in its range. It could become threatened by agricultural development in the future.
