Identification
Body length of 41 cm, tail length of 45 cm, weight of 1,7 kg. Females are grey-brown with grizzled hairs, black face with white lines on cheeks. Males entirely black except for white facial disk. Black naked face, very fluffy tail.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in northern South America, from eastern Venezuela to Guianas, southwards to nearby north Brazil. Lives in mature and secondary forests, forest fragments, flooded forests, to 1000 m.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Appendix II
Status : This species is common around its range and its habitat remains fairly intact so far, outside big cities.
