Identification
Large pinkish bill with yellow base, broad yellow eye-ring. Back, wings, tail and rump bright green. Rest of plumage beige brown with light and dark streaking. Subspecies smaller and darker.

Range and habitat
Subspecies found on Java and Bali (Indonesia). Found around clearings and edges of evergreen forests, woodlands, plantations, gardens with fruiting trees and urban areas.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species widespread and adaptable. It is now established in Singapore. Could be declining in Indonesia because of habitat loss and trapping for trade.
