Identification
Adults can reach a length of 43 cm for a weight of 535 g. Plumage mostly light grey with light pink belly and nape. Wings metallic green with blue flight feathers, blue tail. Black bill with prominent round black knob on base.

Range and habitat
This species occurs on west Papuan islands and Widi Island (off Halmaheira). Lives in all types of lowland forests and mangroves, mostly on small islands.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species has a small range but is at least locally common to abundant. Habitat loss and hunting could become threats in the future.
