Identification
Small orange-red bill, plumage mostly green with yellow tinge and dark edges to feathers on breast and belly. Dark violet-blue cheeks and crown, bright red forehead and band reaching nape.

Range and habitat
Subspecies endemic to Wetar island, Indonesia. Found in primary and tall secondary forests, woodlands and trees around villages, from sea level to 1500 m.

IUCN RED LIST : NEAR THREATENED
CITES : Appendix II
Status : Restricted range species, being globally uncommon but still present in many locations within its range. Still caught in small numbers for trade but less so than other lories.
