Identification
The species can grow to 30 cm in length. Its bill is relatively small, black with small white cere and white eyering. Back and wings bright green, blue flight feathers, orange-yellow tail. Rest of plumage yellow, orange on face and belly.

Range and habitat
This species is endemic to north-eastern tip of Brazil, from Para and Goias to Rio Grande do Norte, Alagoas and Bahia. Lives in humid forest edges, coconut plantations, ridge forests, dry woodlands.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Appendix II
Status : The species is expanding its range with partial deforestation but remains intensively trapped for the international trade. This threat isn’t monitored yet.
