Identification
The species reaches 28 cm for 94 g. Slender body with long tail. All black bill, broad bright orange eye-ring. Plumage green with strong yellow tinge on belly. Light brown breast. Bright orange forehead, edged blue, rest of head green.

Range and habitat
The species lives in South America and occurs in most of central, western and central-southern Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and north Argentina. Lives in tropical savannas with palm groves, gallery forests near plantations, to 600 m.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Appendix II
Status : The species is still locally considered as a pest. Its populations are increasing with deforestation but high number of youngs taken from nest for trade.
