Identification
The species reaches 9 cm in length. Unmistakable coloration, mostly white to very light beige with yellow and orange tinge on belly. Yellow tail, yellow face, black forehead with bright blue lines. Blackish dorsal and anal fins with blue lines.

Range and habitat
This species is found in the Pacific ocean, from Micronesia to Tonga, east to Society Islands and Hawaii. Lives in steep outer reef slopes with rich coral growth, from 20 to 115 meters deep.
