Notes : No subspecies known.

Identification
Body entirely yellow to bright orange or golden-yellow. Two blue lines in each eyes. Blue dots and small line near eyes. Fins with blue edges and light blue dots and faint lines. Elongate fin tips.

Range and habitat
Western Pacific Ocean, around Cook, Rapa, Austral, Gambier and Pitcairn islands groups. Found near passes and outer reef slopes, often with algae growth.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species has a fairly large range. There is no data available on any threats it could be facing, including habitat loss. Rarely caught for trade.
