Identification
Adults can reach a maximum length of 6 cm. Elongated and fairly cylindrical body with large tail peduncle and relatively small head. This species is entirely golden yellow with orange and green edges on fins. Greenish tinge on head.

Range and habitat
The species is found in the western central part of the Pacific Ocean, from Papua New Guinea to Great Barrier Reef. Lives in coral and rocky reefs, usually near caves, from 5 to 20 meters.

Status : The species seems to be at least locally common and not currently facing any threats.
