Identification
The species grows to 6,6 cm. Round head with thick lips and greyish-blue snout. Forward half of body bright pink-violet turning to golden yellow on back half of body. Striped eye, no dark stripe behind eye. No yellow dots on middle flanks.

Range and habitat
The species is found in the western Atlantic ocean and is endemic to the coasts of central Brazil. Lives in over coral and rocky bottoms, near shore and around islands, to 22 m.

Status : This species’ status has yet to be assessed. It has a small range and habitat loss could be a threat.
