Identification
The species can grow to 9.5 cm in length. Cylindric body, large eyes and mouth. Ground coloration is a translucent creamy-grey with two horizontal orange bars, bright on head faint on flanks. Orange and white spot on tail peduncle.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in the Western Pacific ocean, from Yayema Islands (South Japan) to Philippines and Great barrier reef, east to Micronesia. Lives in coastal areas and lagoons, on rubble and muddy bottoms, to 25 meters.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species  seems to be fairly common and tolerate living in a wide range of habitats. However, it could become vulnerable to habitat destruction on a local scale.
