Identification
Slightly translucent whitish body with faint orange vertical lines. Dorsal fin can show yellow color. Blue eyes and spots on reddish gill coverts, elongated black spot on pectoral fin base.

Range and habitat
Indo-Pacific area, from Red Sea to Tuamoto Islands, to Ryukyu islands and Great Barrier Reef. Found around rubble and sandy areas of lagoons, shallow estuaries and deeper reef areas.

IUCN RED LIST : NOT LISTED
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species has a large range and is widely distributed. It doesn’t seem to be facing any threats at this time but its conservation status still has to be assessed by IUCN.
