Notes : No subspecies known.

Identification
Violet-pink cap, dark blue cheeks. Belly blue, flanks violet with dark blue-black blotches on scales. Upper half of flanks and back bright orange. Tail bluish with many clear blue dots. Pink eyes.

Range and habitat
Western-central Pacific Ocean, endemic to Indonesia where occurs near Sulawesi, in Tomini Bay only. Found around coral and rocky reef edges, often near rubble patches.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : This species has a very small range but isn’t affected by habitat loss. It is collected for trade in small numbers and this isn’t believed to be a threat at this time although it needs to be monitored.
