Notes : No subspecies known.

Identification
Bright pink face and cap, blue-white chin and belly. Flanks violet, then blue-green and yellow-orange with broad purple edges to orange flank-scales. Yellow and violet tail with pink spots.

Range and habitat
The species lives in the Indo-Pacific area, in the Indonesian waters around Bali, Sumbawa, Flores, Komodo, Rinca, Wakatobi and Sulawesi. Found in rubble areas with sparse coral cover, from 8 to 20 meters deep.

CITES : Not Listed
Status : This species’ status is not yet assessed. It used to be identified as Cirrhilabrus cyanopleura (listed as Data Deficient). Caught for trade at least locally, not yet bred under human care.
