Notes : No subspecies known.

Identification
Adult coloration green to dark green with orange reticulations and blue spots on each flank scales. High profile. Yellow and dull orange face with blue lines. Tail fin with numerous blue spots.

Range and habitat
Indo-Pacific, from Red Sea and East Africa to Hawaii and Tuamoto Islands, to South Japan and Great Barrier Reef. Found around coral-rich areas of lagoons and seaward reefs.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species has a huge range where it is known as being widespread and locally abundant. It seems to suffer from no threats although it is strongly linked to coral reefs.
