Identification
Adults can reach up to 25 cm in length. Distinctive humpback profile with long snout. Fleshy cirrus above each eyes. Coloration is white to beige with seven dark-edged vertical broad bands, usually brownish to red-brown in color.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, from Kodiak Island to central Baja California (Mexico). Lives in rocky areas and reefs, from near sea level to 49 meters.

CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species seems to remain relatively common and safe throughout its range. Pollution isn’t a threat so far.
