Identification
Adults can reach 13 cm in body length, 23 cm tail length and a weight of 138 g. Largest eyes of any tarsier species but smallest ears and shortest tail. Fur is grey-beige, this subspecies is lighter than others. Tail naked with very small tuft.

Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs in south Sumatra. The species is also found on Borneo, Natuna islands and Belitung Island. Lives in forests, forest edges, plantations, woodlands.

IUCN RED LIST : VULNERABLE
CITES : Appendix II
Status : The species is threatened globally by deforestation for the palm oil industry. In Sumatra particularly, the species is also caught illegally for the trade.
