Identification
Body length of 92 cm, shoulder height of 52 cm, weight of 15.9 kg. Short strong legs with vertical and narrow hooves. Short head with thin upwards-pointing horns. Coloration is greenish to grey-brown with darker neck. White belly.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in eastern and southern Africa. This subspecies is found in South East Africa, from western Zimbabwe to north and east Botswana. Lives in dry countries with rocky areas, gorges, boulders and rocky hills.

CITES : Not listed
Status : This species remains fairly safe because of the inaccessibility of its habitat. However, locally, some subspecies could be threatened by hunting or habitat loss.
