Identification
Body length of 100 cm, shoulder height of 60 cm, weight to 22 kg. tail with fringes of white hairs, dark limbs, rest of coat light grey-brown speckled with yellow. Forehead yellow with dark band on long horn base. Small rounded ears.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-East Asia, in a narrow band from western to south-western Thailand and adjacent parts of Tenasserim, Myanmar. Lives in hilly and montane evergreen forests and teak plantations.

IUCN RED LIST : DATA DEFICIENT
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species has a small range and there are still doubts about reports of presence of this species in parts of its range and elsewhere.
