Identification
Adults can grow to about 4 cm in length. Body is oval in shape and has a slightly humped back. Back and flanks are grey-white with numerous spine-like tubercles with blunt ends. Black wavy lines running across the body.

Range and habitat
The species is found in the western Pacific Ocean, from Micronesia and Philippines to Indonesia and Great Barrier Reef. Lives in coral reefs and soft bottoms (sedimentary) areas down to 50 meters deep.

CITES : Not listed
Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed. It seems to have a large range and to remain common. It is poisonous to eat so left unexploited.
