Identification
Adults can reach a wingspan of 9 cm. Female’s upperside is dark brown with lots of yellow spotting and waving bands. Male is nearly black with broad grey to turquoise edges on hindwings. Antennae clubs have orange tips.

Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore. The species is found from India to south China, south to Philippines and Indonesia. Lives in clearings, edges of forest, forest near watercourses.

Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed. The species is common and widespread in the wild. It doesn’t face any known threats.
