Identification
The species reaches a wingspan of 9 cm. Unmistakable. Wings with relatively rounded edges. Coloration sandy beige, becoming orange on lower hindwings with nearly parallel wavy black lines covering most of the wings.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in Mainland south-east Asia, from Myanmar and Vietnam to Malaysia. This subspecies is found in most of the range except north Myanmar. Lives in rainforests and plantations in lowland and foothills up to 1000 m.

Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed. It is linked to forests and forest edges and could suffer on the long run from loss of habitat.
