Identification
Adults can grow to a wingspan of 8.5 cm. Upperside and underside similar with large yellow-green patch, rest of wings dark brown to black with row of white spots and two small tails. Females are a bit lighter grey than males.

Range and habitat
Subspecies found from east India to Peninsular Malaysia. Species occurs from India and Sri Lanka to Philippines, Malaysia and central Indonesia. Lives in lowland forests, tropical woodlands and adjacent suburban parks.

Status : The species’ status isn’t assessed yet. It has a large range and seems adaptable but could locally suffer from deforestation and loss of habitat.
