Identification
The species can grow to 2.7 cm in length. Very thick and spiny legs. Entire upperside bright iridescent apple-like green with rows of small dots. Two black spots on thorax and four black spots on elytrae. Underside is black.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in south-east Asia, from south Thailand and Malaysia to Indonesia (Sumatra and Java). Subspecies found in Mainland southeast Asia. Lives in forests and woodlands.

CITES : Not listed
Status : The species hasn’t been assessed but has a large range. Despite collection for trade and loss of habitat, it is probably still considered safe so far.
