Identification
Adults can grow to 7 cm in length. Orange-brown prothorax with triangular black spot. Elytrae and rest of body is orange to grey, peppered with black, wings have a distinct black spot. Juveniles are flightless, brown with light spotting.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in Central and South America, from Guatemala and Costa Rica to Colombia. Lives in tree hollows, leaf litter in humid forests.

Status : This species’ status has yet to be assessed by IUCN but it’s probably very common to abundant in most of its range.
