Identification
Adults can reach a total length up to 3 cm but usually less. Unmistakable. Black face and legs, black and white flanks. Top of body is bright yellow, orange or red with black markings on thorax projection. Black wings.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-east Asia, from india to Indochina, south to Malaysia and Indonesia. Lives in plantations, open forests, forest edges.

CITES : Not listed
Status : The species’ status has not been assessed yet but it’s probably at least locally common within its huge range. Treated as a pest in some areas.
