Identification
Adults can grow to about 5 cm in length. Large body with flat back and side spines. Small head with very long antennae, small pointed abdomen, large and broad wings. Coloration uniformly emerald green, legs sometimes with brown base.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in eastern Asia and is endemic to the island of Taiwan. The type specimen was found on Lanyu island. Lives in forests and dense woodlands.

Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed. It seems to be common in suitable habitat but may suffer from deforestation in parts of its range.
