Identification
Females can grow to about 20 cm in length whereas males reach about 14 cm. Males have orangish wings, dark green thin body, top of head and upper part of body becoming black. Female wingless and dark green, legs darker.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-East Asia and is endemic to the island of Palawan (Philippines). It might occur on nearby smaller islands as well. Lives in forests and dense woodlands.

Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed. It is common within its range in suitable habitat but habitat loss and pollution can become threats.
