Identification
Adults can grow to a body length of about 7 cm for a legspan of 15 cm, rarely more. Legs and cephalothorax dark brown to black with strong dark blue iridescence. Abdomen covered with reddish-orange hairs.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to the Paraguana peninsula, in the Falcon State, northern Venezuela. Lives in desert areas, usually under bushes and tree roots.

Status : The species’ status hasn’t been assessed but the very small size of its range makes it potentially vulnerable to overtrapping and habitat loss.
