Identification
Adults can reach a body length of 2 cm, males being much smaller than females. Cephalothorax is elongated and mostly gray-brown to dark brown with longitudinal yellow bands. Light brown legs. Big eyes.

Range and habitat
The species is found in North America and occurs in most of the eastern half of USA, from Maine to Florida, east to Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas. Lives in cotton fields, woodlands, garbage areas near human settlements.

Status : This species’ status hasn’t been assessed but it is thought to be fairly numerous within its big range.
