Identification
Adults can grow to a legspan of 18 cm, rarely more. It is one of the hairiest tarantulas from Brazil with its entire body and legs covered with very long golden-brown to red-brown hairs. Brown body and legs with darker abdomen.

Range and habitat
The species can be found in South America and occurs mostly in the state of Para, in Brazil. Lives in dry savannas with scattered trees and bushes.

CITES : Not listed
Status : The species’ status has yet to be assessed. It appears to be quite common in suitable habitat. The impact of international trade seems bearable so far.
