Identification
Adults can grow up to 1.20 meters in length. Slender body with long tail. This subspecies differs from the others with its grey-brown body with reddish indistinct blotching on head, back and flanks. Lower flanks and lips white to yellow.

Range and habitat
This subspecies is endemic to Philippines. Other subspecies found from south Thailand to Malaysia and western Indonesia, and Sulawesi. Lives in open woodlands, forest edges, gardens, parks, even houses.

CITES : Not listed
Status : The species has a large range and can live in modified habitats, even close or in cities (Singapore). Targeted occasionally by the international trade.
