Identification
Adults reach rarely more than 72 cm in length, females being bigger than males. Scales are heavily keeled, rostral scale has a typical leaf-like shape. Coloration is sandy-beige to light brown, becoming light yellow on flanks, chin, belly.

Range and habitat
This species occurs in desertic areas of western Asia, in Pakistan, Afghanistan, south Iran, east and North-west Baluchistan and north-west India. Lives in sandy deserts with dunes of fine and loose sand, up to 1300 m.

Status : The species hould be considered as safe as it occurs in very inhospitable and remote habitats.
