Identification
Dirty white head with conspicuous round crest, dark blue to black naked skin around eyes, yellow bill, grey back, dull black wings. Yellow eyes and vinous-grey breast.

Range and habitat
From extreme south Myanmar to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Found in open grasslands, gardens, cultivated areas, large clearings in forest, to 2000 m.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species is increasing its range with deforestation as it adapts readily to living in altered habitats, even in urban areas. Still caught in big numbers for the local trade.
