Identification
Adults can grow to 3.1 cm in length, females are often bigger than males. Slightly granular skin. Ground coloration is black with two large orange-yellow dorso-lateral stripes joining on snout. Broken stripes on flanks and limbs.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to Colombia where found in central and northern parts of the country, between Rio Magdalena and Cordillera Central. Lives in lowland and foothills rainforest, close to water bodies.

CITES : Appendix II
Status : The species is considered to be at least locally abundant in its range. It can withstand habitat modification to a certain degree. Rarely collected.
