Notes : No subspecies known.
Adults can grow to about 2.2 cm in length, males smaller and slimmer than females. Upper flanks, back and head black with yellow lines parallel or forming reticulated pattern. Legs and belly blue-green to yellow with black blotches and dots.
Range and habitat
The species is a species complex, occurring from Pastaza province in Ecuador, north to Colombia and east to Guianas, on both sides of Amazon river. Lives in primary and secondary lowland forest.

CITES : Appendix II
Status : The species has a huge range and is locally common although occasionally caught for the trade. Once split, new species will need assessment.
