Identification
The species grows to about 8 cm in length. Body covered with big warts, dorsal skin very rough. Coloration is greenish to brown with black markings scattered around warts, near jaws and on legs. Toes are slightly webbed only.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in eastern Asia and is found only in southern China (Yunnan, Hubei) and nearby north Vietnam. Lives in shallow pools and ponds in forests, from 1200 to 2600 m.

Status : The species has seems to be restricted to particular habitats and vulnerable to habitat loss and other threats.
