Identification
Adults can reach up to 8 cm in length. Skin is very warty on back, smooth on belly. Coloration is olive-green to bright green with dark spots to brown on back, bright orange to yellow with black blotches and lines on belly.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in north-eastern Asia, from South and North Korea to south-east Russia and north-east China. Lives in temperate forests, river valleys and swamps, up to 500 m.

CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species is still locally common but is threatened by habitat loss and over-collection for pet trade and Chinese medicine.
