Identification
Relatively small toad species reaching 5-6 cm in body length. Pointed snout and prominent eyes. Skin covered with small warts except on belly. Coloration variable, usually beige-grey to yellow-grey with dark areas on flanks and limbs.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to the Arabian peninsula and occurs in coastal areas of South Saudi Arabia, Farasan islands, Yemen, Oman and United Arab Emirates. Lives in shrublands, freshwater springs, rivers, gardens, irrigated areas.

Status : The species has a relatively small range but can adapt to man-made structures and doesn’t suffer from loss of habitat for now.
