Identification
The species can grow to a total length of 8 cm, females being bigger than males. Coloration is bright green on back and flanks. Its lower flanks and limbs are pink to lavender with blue leg ends. Underside orange. Large golden eyes.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in Central America, in extreme north Panama and Costa Rica, in the Cordillera de Talamanca, Cordillera Central and Cordillera de Tilaran. Lives in premontane moist forests, forests and plantations near rivers or ponds.

IUCN RED LIST : VULNERABLE
CITES : Appendix II
Status : The species has a very small range which is now highly fragmented. The species can tolerate habitat alteration but deforestation is ongoing.
