Identification
Adults can reach up to 6.4 cm in length. Round snout, smooth skin. The species is mostly bright green with pinkish-orange belly. It is easily identified by its black or dark purple eyes.

Range and habitat
The species is found in Central America, from Mexico (Puebla and Veracruz) to north-western Honduras and central El Salvador. Lives in tropical moist lowland and montane forests, marshes and wetlands.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Appendix II
Status : This species was classified as Critically Endangered. It has been downlisted since it appears to be still common locally but it needs monitoring.
