Identification
Adults can reach up to 14 cm in length, females being larger than males. Large toe pads on all feet. Coloration is usually bright green (although brown has been reported). Conspicuous white stripe on lower lip, whitish belly.

Range and habitat
The species occurs from Central Indonesia (Timor, Moluccas) to New Guinea and nearby Islands, south to North-east Australia. Lives in humid forests, gardens and woodlands, never too far from water.

Status : The species has a huge range and is thought to be safe although, especially in Indonesia, some specimens are captured for the animal trade.
